ABSOLUTE Scents Candles, LLC is located in Germantown, Ohio, a quaint, historical town
approximately 15 minutes south-west of Dayton, Ohio.
We started making candles nearly three years ago in the kitchen of a two bedroom
apartment, with nothing more than a slab of paraffin and a desire to have fun together. After
researching many candle making resources, we learned that there was a superior alternative
to paraffin. Soy and palm! Much cleaner burning, creating a healthy burning candle.
Once we discovered soy and palm, we soon became bored with the design of our candles
produced by the run-of-the-mill candle molds that we kept seeing at local craft stores. That's
when it hit us! We can develop our own, specially designed, one-of-a-kind candle molds!
And boy, did we ever!
We first experimented with tapers, designing and making 12 different designs and more than
20 different aluminum molds, experimenting and researching, experimenting and
researching... Click here to see some of our first tapers. Ugh! We just couldn't get the look
and quality burn that we were wanting. Finally, we decided to try something
different...PILLARS! Yeah, that's it!
Keep in mind, this was still all for fun, and we were loving it! So we sat down and sketched,
and thought, and sketched some more. What we came up with was nothing short of
SPECTACULAR! After a lot of tweaking, and I mean A LOT of tweaking, we finally perfected
our process and are now able to create what you see here.
"This is so cool", we said as we gave some of our awesome, new candles to friends and
family. "Check out what we made", was what we said when we handed them out. The
overwhelming response? "We want more! How much are they?" Hmmm...
We are now busy designing and creating new scented products, and still loving every minute
of it!
